March Bonus Post: Building a Peaceful Life
Hi Mummis,
This is a little bonus post in between AMAs 🌿
A lot of what we have been talking about lately, like burnout and overwhelm, can feel heavy. But I never want this space to feel like life is only a series of challenges. Because that is not how I live, and it is not the whole story.
There is another side to this work, and it is the reason I keep showing up for it.
Today, I want to show you that side. My answers to:
Why get healthy? Why rebuild routines? Why set boundaries? Why examine relationships? Why change anything at all?
Here is my truth. My current life feels gentle, stable, and sunny.
I love where I live and who I share my days with. My relationships feel like water when I am thirsty. My home is calm, and my outlook feels bright. I feel supported by the life I have built, and the main character of this life is now me.
My body is strong enough to do everything I love. My work feels fulfilling and aligned. I feel mentally clear and emotionally steady. Challenges still come, and sometimes I do get overwhelmed, but I know how to recenter quickly. I trust myself to handle whatever shows up.
And yet, this is completely different from where I used to be.
To be very honest, if someone had tried to tell me what my life would look like now compared to what it used to be, I am not sure I would have wanted it. I was so used to the dysfunction I was living in that it felt normal. I did not realize how unhealthy it was, or that there were other ways to live.
If you have ever been in a place where you did not even know things were off, that is okay. I had that too. Awareness comes when it comes, and growth is possible when you are ready.
In my experience, the small steps you take to reclaim your health and peace of mind often lead to much bigger changes too.
The version of me you see now is the result of years of intentional shifts. Slow ones, messy ones, and a few sharp turns I did not choose. I rebuilt things from the ground up. My routines. My mindset. My emotional regulation. My confidence. How I cared for my body. How I showed up for my children. Who I allowed into my life.
One of the biggest transformations was learning to trust my own intuition. Instead of searching for answers in other people’s approval, I learned to listen inward. To stay true to that voice even when it was the only one in the room. Even when it felt lonely or the outcome was not a guarantee.
None of this happened overnight. This was a gradual, steady progression built from small decisions made consistently.
That is why I created this blog, this business, and the programs inside it. I wanted to offer a space for anyone on a journey toward greater peace and stability. Every practice I share comes from the exact tools I used myself.
In my own mind I often think of this transformation as a kind of unwinding. For years I felt like a ball of metal wire tightly wrapped around a post. Conditioning, co-dependent patterns, weak emotional boundaries, and too much tolerance for unacceptable behavior had twisted my life into something tight and uncomfortable. Slowly, piece by piece, I learned how to unwind it.
As a parent, one of the messages I try hardest to instill is this: You can always be a comeback story.
You are allowed to decide that your life is going to change. You are allowed to rebuild. You are allowed to rise, no matter where you are starting from. I have modeled this for my children again and again.
You can fall in the muddy puddle. Just make sure you get back up.
If you are a mom navigating a major life change, whether it is divorce, loss, too much responsibility, or simply a season that feels heavier than you expected, I see you. I have walked this path too, and I am here to pace you on this leg of your journey.
If this resonates with you, and you are ready to let movement, grounding, consistency, community, and nature guide your growth, you have found a place here.
And if you are reading this from a harder season right now, please hear this. The life you want may feel far away. You might not even know what it looks like yet, only that it is different from your current reality.
✨ You are only a series of small, consistent decisions away from becoming your most centered, healthy, supported self. ✨Everything I teach, from routines to boundaries to nervous system work to strength building, comes from the exact tools I used to create the life I am living now. If I can shift my life, so can you.
Peace is not something you stumble into. It is something you build, little by little, until one day you look around and realize you are living inside it.
Sending you supportive vibes,
Sam
